Operations Lead

30 hours per week | Remote (UK hours) | £30,000 per year pro rata

We're hiring an operations lead to run the day-to-day business. If you love systems, detail, and working with the business owner, this is for you.

The opportunity

We're looking for an Operations Lead to take ownership of the day-to-day running of SnoozeShade.

At its core, this is a project management role with wide scope, covering stock, suppliers, financial awareness, retailer relationships, team coordination, and building systems that keep everything running smoothly.

In our small, fast-moving team, no two days are the same. You'll keep the essentials running: from stock and customer support to retailer relationships and accurate financials, while stepping in to whatever else the week brings.

You'll be working closely with Cara, who invented SnoozeShade and is a very hands-on person. You'll take over operational responsibilities currently handled by her, so she can focus on product, growth, and strategy. You'll also bring ideas, spot opportunities, and improve how things are done.

What success looks like

In your first six months

Strong working relationships with suppliers, retailers, and the team
Accurate stock and delivery information maintained across all channels
Cara no longer involved in day-to-day operations
Multiple workflow and system improvements implemented
Confident understanding of the business commercials

Within your first year

Operational decisions made independently, with Cara's approval on strategic matters
Growth opportunities scoped and supported
Improved operational efficiency and margin
New product and market launches successfully executed

Terms

Hours 30 hours per week

Salary £30,000 per year pro rata
(£37,500 equivalent)

Start date August or September 2026

Performance bonus Available based on targets

Structure PAYE, freelance, or consultancy

Location Remote, UK hours. If you're local, we would organize hands-on working days together, especially in the early months.
